We understand that every boat is different. How often you need a service depends on how much you use your boat, the age of your engine, whether it is still under warranty and how it has been stored and maintained between seasons.
If you are out of your warranty period, you are not experiencing any issues and your hours are low between services, you may not need a full service every year. Our recommendations are based on your individual circumstances, your engine history and what is best for your boat.

A full service is recommended when:
Your engine is still within its warranty period
You have completed significant hours since the last service
The engine has been run with old or contaminated fuel
You have experienced running issues such as difficult starting, poor idling, running cold or inconsistent performance
Your engine is due for scheduled maintenance

Our pre-season check includes a range of important safety and performance checks, including but not limited too:
Fuel filter and water separator inspection
Battery condition and connections
Steering and linkages
Engine temperature and charging system checks
Gauge operation
Oil levels and general fluid checks
Overall engine operation and performance
If our experienced marine technicians identify anything they are concerned about, we will discuss it with you and provide honest recommendations before any additional work is completed.

If your engine is outside its warranty period, you have not completed many hours since your last service, you have avoided running old fuel through the engine and you have no known running issues, a pre-season check may be the right option.
A pre-season check is ideal for customers who want peace of mind before heading back onto the water without completing a full service unnecessarily.
We generally recommend:
A full service every second year for engines outside the warranty period, depending on usage.
A pre-season check in between services to ensure everything is operating correctly before summer adventures begin.

It is advisable to book well ahead of when you need your boat to be operational - especially leading up to public and school holidays and over the summer period, as we are often 4 - 6 weeks booked in advance with service bookings.
